Ice, Water, and Sky

This is the finished afghan/lapghan that I was working on. It took forever. It is made up of 8 granny squares. The other 8 squares are made up of 22 double stitch rows by 12 rows. The blue is what I chose to use in single stitches around the edges, then kind of mattress stitched them together. It is not the 5 X 4 that I planned…it’s 4 X 4, but just as functional and oh so warm.

I don’t know that I will be doing many of these, as they are really time consuming. One good thing that I do see with this, is that I can make up scrap grannies and use them in a progressive blanket or save them for another project later down the line. I really want to experiment more with the granny squares. The one color is fun, easy, and quick. I want to make it a challenge LOL.
