Ornament for my new baby

We have a parent to be ornament for my son, but we didn’t have one for this baby. SOOO I made one after seeing an idea for making an ornament out of those baby flower pots.

Custom Hospital Gown

I am working on a custom hospital gown based on the pattern I downloaded from Lazy Girl Designs. I began this project on October 18th maddd early in the morning:

Why? Well I am pregnant and I want the pictures in the hospital to look a little better than they did when I had my firstborn!

Crafting Project: Sewing Basket

So I have taken it upon myself to make a sewing basket. Using a boot sized shoe box just isn’t cutting it anymore. My friend Lisette was nice enough to let me have her old picnic basket for this very project

I am currently working on the insert for the pockets and the lid stuff which is blue felt and some weird traditional cord lining style stuff. This is all from things that people have given me over the course of the last few months. I hope that I will have more progress to show you soon. So far this has been my late night don’t want to go to sleep till 2 in the morning project.

So here is the beginning of the tallit that I am making for my husband:

A nice lady from ravelry will be sending me some special additions for the finishing touch.

I also whipped up cases for my phone and mp3 player:

It was fun to crochet holding 2 worsted yarns together of different textures while using a too small needle *size 5* to make the fabric tight.

I am not planning on touching the Footprints cross stitch again till cold weather sets in.

We (being NarnianKnitter and I) are also working on various baby items, since there are a number of women expecting in the coming months.

I did it! Not to spec, either. It’s a good pattern, bu the way I followed it, there would have been enough hat to fit over her entire face. I just went with the decreases until there was just no way I could make the hat longer and pulled the remaining stitches into a tight circle.

I have been busy working on baby clothes. There are 4 pregnant people in our family and a few who are trying. Figured I would get some things done in the process of the wait for the baby boom.

Currently working on Purple n Lace set. The sweater has been a challenge since the lace patterns I picked for the bottom were not adding up *sigh*. Going along well now, though.
