I have finished my guitar strap cover that I began last week. I had plenty of time to do it on the recent trip to Syracuse. It came out pretty nice, but I want to add something to the back end of it eventually. I used 2 yarns that I had laying around. A semi gloss black normal strand yarn and a red chunky funky yarn. Makes for an extremely comfortable strap cover. I just knit the length, sewed it up the middle, slid it over the existing belt with my crochet needle to help… and voila, guitar strap

One skein, 2 needles

I am still trying to figure out what to do with my one lonely skein of yarn. I have an idea from the Red Heart website. It’s the One Ball Shawl, done on smaller needles than I have and with less yarn. It is probably going to end up being just a bit bigger than the pattern, which is fine by me. I might modify it to be a little bigger since the yarn they require is at least 100 yards less than my skein.

It’s been over a year that this blog has sat here with no new content. I am ashamed!!!!

I do have a skein of yarn and some needles in size 8…while all my other stuff is in storage STILL.

I am currently trying to decide what one skein wonder to make. I am contemplating a shrug. I need a yarn needle to do it, though. I have only found one yarn store between here and the Bronx…which is sad. Walmart no longer carries the huge selection it once had. Yarn craft cannot die!

Well I haven’t been posting much because when I made something, I couldn’t take pictures. Well now I have a new baby!!!

The Yes We Can Sweater

Lest I forget. The baby was born on November 3rd at 10:24pm. She was 9 pounds, 19 inches long. She is gorgeous!

Finished baby surprise

I finished the main part of the baby surprise, but now I am making a 3rd piece for it. It won’t take me very long to finish up once I actually sit down and do it. It’s just the fact that I am restless and thinking of all the things I have to do right now… The other pieces came out so adorable. It was a joy to do! I wonder if I will want to do more baby things for charity sometime soon, since it was so fun to do.
