I am really loving the feature to Pounce on different stores on Etsy. You have the option to look at stores who have never had a sale or stores that have just added products. Talk about love! I am just having a ball refreshing the page on both counts. It’s great to find new items I may have never seen otherwise. Go check it out for yourself.

Through the grapevine

A magnificently intricate grapevine with matching earrings! Wow. I was just introduced to this website this morning and found a necklace full of Smoke Topaz & Lt. Colorado Crystals. Gorgeous! It’s 55 dollars, but I think it is well worth the price. I mean, who has ever seen anything like this before?

Contemplating making clothes

My brain has been at work trying to come up with bright ideas to make for show clothes when we go places to perform. I have seen some things on tv that make me say “I could do that!”. There was a dress that looked like 4 panels of the same flowery material with strips of a bland color in between. It made for a very interesting, slimming dress. I was thinking I could definitely do that. So, I will be sketching out plans to make clothing so that when I move and get settled again I will have room to stretch my creative muscles and get to work on some artistically pleasing clothing.

There are so many beautifully done crafts on Etsy.com. I usually go through and just ooh and ahhh at the wonders of people’s minds. One such wonder is the Beekeeper’s Daughter Dress. It is a cheap price to pay for the intricacy of the craftmanship. AmourSansAnguish has other pretty lace and frill in her shop, but this one caught my eye today. Bravo.

Featured Yarn: Lion Brand Wool Ease

I adore Lion Brand and their products. I fell for their wool and wool-ease yarns last winter when I was blessed with a number of skeins thanks to my mother. Wool ease is a lovely feeling yarn with slip, squish, and cuddle. It truly is a joy to work with. I made a number of projects out of the grey heather. This is what the company has to say about it:

As seen in the new Spring 2009 issue of Knitty.com … this thing is gorgeous. The sheer simplicity of its shape matched with the intricacy of the actual pattern is amazing. It totally took my breath away. Check out the pattern for Shipwreck. I would love to see any finished products!

Another week, another Online Craft Club entry. It’s a shame I haven’t written in a week, but I have been so busy! I am so close to being finished the scarf I can barely sit still enough to actually finish. I was hoping to be done and sending it off today, but I guess I need one more day then I will send it tomorrow *fingers crossed*. Here it is right now.

Online Craft Club: The FFC Scarf

In honor of the Friday Favecast, I have themed this scarf for the owner of the podcast. He requested a scarf and gave me free reign to do as I will. Here is the beginning, my first time ever doing double knitting.
