WHAT an experience this was! I have been sorting and categorizing floss for HOURS! Finally, with some food and a fresh set of eyes, I was able to get them all in what *seems* to be the right order so I can begin this extravaganza of fun. Now I have to figure my actual starting point and pray to God that I do this right, especially since it was a request by my husband as a decoration for our home. I am also learning to stitch on evenweave, so I downloaded my friend Retta’s PDFon How to cross stitch on linen or evenweave.

I just got 4 new projects for an extremely small amount of cash. I got 3 cross stitch projects and 1 tote bag craft kit.
You can see the other cross stitch project here.
I cannot seem to find the picture online for the Mary Maxim 7106 kit for the Lavender Pansy Tote, but I will take a pic and show you soon.

I am currently watching how to do punch needling on this show called Spotted Canary on the BYU tv network. I didn’t realize that punch needle was so easy! I don’t want to tell my husband that I am interested in one more crafting thing, since I knit, spin, crochet, sew, and now cross stitch. LOL! I have only dabbled in scrapbooking, but this lady showed me some really neat ideas for scrapbooking that are more practical in use than many others.

Crewel more than outlines

So it has been a long while since I updated about this project, and especially since I actually picked it up to do anything with it. Tonight, I decided to give you the most recent picture before I worked on it tonight. I have the hair on the boy, his hand, and his face done now except his eyes. I have the eyes, nose, and smile on the mother done and started working on the hair for her. I haven’t been in the mood to do much recently, especially since getting situated with our move and picking up my guitar again. Tonight, it was good to just lay back on my bed and sift through the yarns, placing them gently on the background with my needles. Awesome.

Proverbs 31:13 states
She selects wool and flax
and works with eager hands.
What is she doing???
KNITTING or CROCHETING or WEAVING!!!!
Next time a husband/significant other states they are tired of your yarn habit, just show them that you are the quintessential Proverbs 31 woman with this verse LOL!

Bucilla progress: words n knots

If you saw the full length of the instructions and the little tiny characters that show you where the colors and stitches go… AUGH!!! Glad that I made a copy so I can write all over it without really messing with the original directions.
